The HeroEE 16 is a high-capacity LiFePO₄ low-voltage battery module designed for residential and light commercial energy storage systems. With a rated capacity of 16076.8Wh (314Ah) at 51.2VDC, it’s built to work alongside a separate hybrid inverter — connecting between solar input and grid/AC input/output — rather than functioning as an all-in-one unit. This design allows homeowners to store solar-generated energy and draw on it during outages or peak-rate periods.
Longevity is a standout feature, with a rated cell lifespan of 11,000 cycles (at 25°C, 100% DOD, 0.5P, 70% SOH) and a deep 90% depth of discharge (DOD) — meaning the battery can be used more fully cycle after cycle without significantly shortening its lifespan. It supports a recommended charge/discharge current of 100A (up to 200A maximum) using CC-CV charging, with a charge/discharge voltage range of 43.2–58.4VDC.
One of the HeroEE 16’s key advantages is flexible expansion: multiple units can be connected in parallel — up to 16 batteries — for a total capacity of up to 256kWh, making it suitable for growing households or larger-scale storage needs. It includes CAN/RS485/RS232 communication ports for integration with inverters and monitoring systems, along with a built-in LCD touchscreen for local status checks.
Built for easy maintenance and high performance, the HeroEE 16 includes comprehensive protections against overtemperature, undertemperature, overcharge, overcurrent, short circuit, and undervoltage conditions. Rated IP20, it’s intended for indoor installation, and operates across a wide temperature range (0°C to 40°C charging, -20°C to 40°C discharging) — making it a robust, scalable foundation for a residential solar + storage system.
